1 Woche Seminar zur Vertiefung der Sprachkenntnisse und Einführung in die CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) Methoden für Lehrer aller Fachbereiche

Dieses Seminar hilft Lehrern ihre Sprachgewandtheit zu verbessern und die Deutsche Sprache fehlerfrei zu sprechen. Außerdem wird diese Seminar an die CLIL Methoden heranführen und Lehrern zeigen wie sie die erlernte Theorie praktisch in ihrem Unterricht anwenden können. Dazu gehört die Beschaffung von Arbeitsmaterial und Vorbereitung einer CLIL Unterrichtsstunde.

Dieser Kurs ist an Lehrer aller Fachbereiche adressiert, die Ihre Deutschkenntnisse auffrischen und erweitern, sowie die CLIL Methoden in ihren Unterricht einbeziehen, deren Grundladen und Anwendung verstehen und Hilfsmittel und Unterrichtsmaterial finden möchten.

Nach Abschluss des Kurses werden sich die Teilnehmer sicherer in Sprach und Schrift der deutschen Sprache bewegen. Außerdem werden sie die Grundlagen der CLIL Unterrichtsplanung, die Erarbeitung von Arbeitsmaterial und die Verknüpfung von Inhalt und Sprachvermittlung erlernt haben.

Learning Outcomes

The course will help the participants to:

  • Improve their German language proficiency and become more comfortable with teaching their courses in German to non-native speakers;
  • Learn techniques and new skills for teaching their academic content in German and become better equipped to develop and incorporate activities that involve the four basic skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) into their classrooms;
  • Gain new ideas and approaches for assessing language learners, correcting errors, and including more pair and group work.

Tentative shedule

The schedule describes likely activities but may differ significantly based on the requests of the participants, and the trainer delivering the specific session. Course modifications are subject to the trainer’s discretion. If you would like to discuss a specific topic, please indicate it at least 4 weeks in advance.

Day 1 – Course introduction & Setting goals

Course introduction

  • Introduction to the course, the school, and the external week activities.
  • Icebreaker activities.

Setting goals

  • Identification of needs and goals for each participant and relevant populations.
  • Presentations of participants, their schools and the trainer.

Day 2 – Vocabulary

Teaching Vocabulary and Promoting Communication.

Day 3 – Lesson prep

Planning and Preparing Lessons: Adapting and Sourcing Materials.

Day 4 – Skillsets in lessons

Receptive and Productive Skills in Lessons.

Day 5 – Feedback & Course closure

Feedback

Assessment and Feedback in CLIL.

Course closure

  • Course evaluation: round up of acquired competences, feedback, and discussion.
  • Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance.

Day 6 – Exursion

Excursion and other external cultural activities.

  • Teachers: primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs;
  • Teacher trainers;
  • Careers officers, educational guides and counsellors;
  • Headteachers;
  • Principals;
  • Managers of schools/organisations offering adult education.

Specifics

  • Activities: All courses include at least one guided city tour and one full-day excursion (usually on Saturday).
  • Certificate: Certificate of Attendance guaranteed for participants who attend at least 80% of the course.
  • Lessons: Classes take place in the Morning (9:00 – 13:45) or in the Afternoon (14:00 – 18:45).
  • Platform: Participants will enjoy free access to our e-learning platform.
