Entrepreneurship Education and Strength-Based Pedagogy

Table of Contents

Description

Entrepreneurship Education is not really about business. Rather, it aims to foster student ability to translate ideas into action. Accordingly, it aims to develop fundamental skills such as innovation and risk-taking as well as the capacity to direct action toward planned goals.

Thus, can you understand how fundamental entrepreneurship is for preparing students not only for their future jobs but also for life in an ever-changing world?

The course will introduce participants to the Entrepreneurial Approach in Education, and mix it with Strength-Based Pedagogy. This is an approach to didactics, which facilitates students in recognizing their strengths, and is extremely valuable to enhance their capacity to accept failure as a part of their own growth process.

Participants will gain – through collaborative hands-on activities – a thorough understanding of the key principles of Entrepreneurship Education. Moreover, they will practice learning activities designed to promote entrepreneurship, which require applying creative thinking skills and imagination to traditional as well as out-of-ordinary problems.

Participants will also learn to use Project-Based Learning (PBL) to develop their students’ talents and strengths, and to nurture teamwork spirit and empathy.

By the end of the course, participants will go back to their schools having mastered practical tools for raising entrepreneurial skills through enhancing collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.

They will be able to help their students build confidence, support their future professional growth, and become competent future leaders and decision-makers.
