Cultivating Self-Leadership: The 8 Cs for Personal Growth and Success

Description

Concept by Susan Gagliano

In today’s educational landscape, schools, teachers, and students are challenged to develop holistic personal skills alongside academic performance. In fact, one of the most relevant factors fostering satisfaction in school and academic results is autonomy.

Self-leadership is a wide concept that refers to how you lead your own life – setting your course, following it, and correcting as you go.

As life and work are often intertwined, it also reflects how you relate to colleagues and students, and your presence in the classroom. For students, it relates to how they think about themselves, and how they cultivate their talents and aspirations.

Would you like to gain direct experience, and practice concrete activities to increase it?

This course will equip participants with the essential tools and techniques to foster self-leadership among themselves and their students by cultivating the 8 Cs of self-leadership in their educational settings.

Participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to deepen their understanding and application of the principles and practices behind calmness, clarity, curiosity, compassion, confidence, courage, creativity, and connectedness.

These activities may include interactive workshops, group discussions, self-reflection exercises, case studies, and practical simulations. By actively participating in these activities, participants will develop practical strategies and techniques to integrate the 8 Cs into their daily practices, curriculum design, and classroom interactions.

By the end of the course, participants will have acquired significant competencies that will positively impact their teaching approaches and their student’s educational experiences.

They will feel more confident to address the challenges of the modern educational landscape and empower their students to become self-leaders, equipped with the skills necessary for lifelong success.
