Description
This course is designed for teachers who want to explore how digital and AI tools can enhance collaboration, creativity, and engagement in the classroom.
Participants will gain hands-on experience using a range of tools to create content, design activities, and support collaborative projects.
They will also have opportunities to reflect on the strengths and limitations of these tools, discuss how they can be adapted to different teaching contexts, and share ideas with colleagues.
The course will highlight how AI can assist teachers in preparing materials, designing assessments, and evaluating student progress, as well as how it can foster inclusive learning environments where all students can participate fully.
Attention will also be given to sustainability, promoting paper-free and resource-efficient approaches.
A strong focus will be placed on online safety and data protection, with guidance on how to address these issues effectively with students in these age groups.
By the end of the course, teachers will be able to critically evaluate digital and AI tools and integrate them effectively into their practice to enrich both teaching and learning.
The course will help teachers to understand how to:
Critically evaluate digital and AI tools, understanding their strengths, limitations, and ethical implications;
Design creative, collaborative, and inclusive learning activities supported by technology;
Use AI to assist in lesson planning, content creation, assessment design, and feedback;
Reflect on how digital and AI-enhanced strategies can support different learning styles and needs;
Help students create exciting online visual content.

Day 1 – Course introduction and setting goals

Day 2 – Online projects
Setting up a successful online project (brainstorming and planning);

AI tools for teachers: multi-media material creation, assessment, and evaluation;
AI as a research tool and learning assistant for students;
Dangers and Affordances of AI in schools;
Data protection and online safety.
Day 4 – Presentation tools, quizmakers, and online games
Collaborative presentation tools for students and teachers;
Quizmakers & online games for fun and competitive classes.
Day 5 – Course content application
Digital Workshop & presentations;
Feedback and discussion;
Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussions;
Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance.
Day 6 – Structured cultural activities
Structured cultural activity(ies) according to the hosting location;
Learning journal: individual written reflection on the course experience;
Course reflection: self-reflection and review of course materials and resources.
This course uses AI tools as part of the learning experience and may include a dedicated session on GDPR compliance and responsible data use, depending on participants’ interests.
Participants are encouraged to verify that the use of AI tools is permitted under their national regulations and institutional policies before registering.
