Basic Computer Proficiency required. Read more »

Basic computer proficiency courses are designed for individuals who have limited experience with technology. Participants will learn fundamental skills such as navigating the web, and using basic programs.

Social-emotional learning (SEL) is a vital process in which both young people and adults acquire and apply knowledge, skills, and attitudes to foster healthy identities, manage emotions, and achieve personal and collective goals.

In the digital age, educational technologies offer extensive opportunities for students to develop crucial SEL competencies, including self-awareness, empathy, collaboration, and responsibility.

Utilizing the interactive features of digital tools and Artificial Intelligence, educators can create supportive environments that encourage students to become engaged, caring, and responsible lifelong learners.

SEL skills are indispensable for students to thrive socially and emotionally, fostering digital well-being and overall success in life.

Regardless of grade level or subject area, educators can seamlessly integrate activities to cultivate SEL skills, empowering students to take ownership of their learning, overcome challenges, and advocate for themselves.

As students’ identity development increasingly occurs in digital environments, practicing essential life skills there becomes more accessible.

Integrating AI-powered tools and platforms into teaching practices facilitates the seamless integration of SEL skills into students’ digital experiences, supporting their holistic development.

Upon completing this course, participants will gain a toolkit of digital and AI-driven tools for developing SEL competencies, along with innovative ideas and lesson plans for SEL implementation.

They will also explore the Project-Based Learning (PBL) teaching method as a catalyst for the development of SEL competencies.

By the course’s conclusion, educators will be equipped with the ability to assess social interactions within their classrooms, identify skills requiring development, and implement practical ideas and methods effectively using cutting-edge technology.
