Description

This course aims at developing teachers’ fluency and accuracy in the English language. It also takes a multidisciplinary approach to understand CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) methodology and introduces participants to how the theory can relate to their own classroom practice. Includes CLIL lesson planning, resources, and the creation of materials.

The Intensive English Course and CLIL address teachers of all subjects who would like to refresh and broaden their skills in the English language, implement CLIL methodology in their classes, understand its principles and applications, and find resources and lesson materials.

By the end of the course, participants will feel more confident in speaking and writing in English. They will have also learned the key principle of CLIL lesson planning, material development, and the integration of content and language teaching.

Reviews about this course

The Dublin experience was amazing, thanks to the total immersion in the culture of the country and the remarkable improvement of my English language knowledge and my digital skills. I really enjoyed the course with Europass. It was my second mobility, and both have been extremely positive. It was very gratifying to participate in two training courses in the Erasmus + program with Europass, in Florence and in Dublin.

José María Tascón González

Spain

This course helped me to improve my speaking skills and to understand better the CLIL methodology. The content is well organized, and learner-focused which is very important since learning is a highly individual process. I particularly enjoyed the clear and easy way Helen explains complex concepts and the excellent examples. I highly recommend it!!

Ana Vendas

Portugal

I liked the experience of the course, it will be useful for me as a teacher. I have improved my knowledge of Ireland. I became more comfortable communicating in English, improving my language skills. I learned new ideas and approaches, new techniques, and skills for teaching content in English and I became better prepared to develop activities that involve basic skills. I learned what are the essential ingredients of a good CLIL lesson: respectively, the 4C – content, communication, knowledge, and culture. A course of great professionalism!
