This is the standard requirement for most courses. Participants at this level can participate actively in discussions and manage everyday and professional situations. If they are unsure about their English level, they can test it here or explore our courses facilitated in Basic English.

Intermediate ICT required.^{Read more}

Intermediate computer proficiency courses are designed for individuals who already have good understanding of technology. Participants will build upon their skills by learning how to use a variety of resources, including learning apps, Microsoft 365 apps, and photo and video editing platforms.

Cross-Curricular.^{Read more}

The listed audiences are those for whom the course is especially recommended, but courses are not exclusive to them and are open to everyone. In fact, most of our workshops are built around the collective sharing of participants’ experiences and having a variety of profiles enriches the learning process and is highly encouraged!

Description

In the ever-changing educational landscape, schools, teachers, and students face the dual challenge of integrating 21st-century skills, known as the 6Cs (Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Character, and Citizenship) and adapting to the increasing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in learning environments.

Educators are seeking effective ways to blend these essential skills with AI to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

This course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively integrate the 6Cs with AI in their teaching practices.

By explaining the nuances of both the 6Cs and AI applications in education, the course will enable educators to create more dynamic, inclusive, and future-ready learning environments.

During the course, participants will engage in a variety of interactive and hands-on activities, including workshops on AI tool integration, collaborative projects emphasizing the 6Cs, and discussions on ethical considerations in AI use.

These activities are designed to provide practical experience in applying AI technologies to support the 6Cs in educational settings, fostering a comprehensive understanding of how these elements can coalesce to transform teaching and learning.

By the end of the course, participants will have acquired significant competencies in blending the 6Cs with AI to address the current educational challenges.

They will possess the skills to enhance student learning and engagement through innovative AI-integrated lesson plans and activities and be equipped to foster a learning environment that is adaptive, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

This newfound proficiency will enable educators to effectively respond to the evolving demands of the 21st-century educational landscape, ensuring their students are well-prepared for the future.

The course will help the participants to:

Understand the importance of the 6Cs in modern education;
Explore AI tools that enhance teaching and learning in the context of the 6Cs;
Develop strategies for integrating AI into lesson plans that focus on the 6Cs;
Recognize the ethical considerations and challenges of using AI in education;
Create a collaborative, inclusive, and digitally-enhanced learning environment.

Day 1 – Course introduction

Introduction to the course and the Academy;
Introduction to the host city and the week’s cultural activities;
Icebreaker activities;
Presentations of the participants’ schools and institutions.

Introduction to the 6Cs in Education

Overview of the 6Cs;
The role of AI in enhancing the 6Cs.

Day 2 – Creativity and AI

AI tools for fostering creativity;
Practical sessions on integrating AI in creative projects.

Day 3 – Critical Thinking and AI

Using AI to develop critical thinking skills;
Case studies and role-play sessions.

Day 4 – Communication and collaboration through AI

AI in improving communication and collaborative skills;
Group activities using AI-based platforms.

Day 5 – Character and citizenship in the digital age

Building character and citizenship through AI-enhanced learning;
Ethical considerations and digital citizenship;
Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussions;
Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance.

Day 6 – Structured cultural activities

Structured cultural activity(ies) according to the hosting location;
Learning journal: individual written reflection on the course experience;
Course reflection: self-reflection and review of course materials and resources.

This course uses AI tools as part of the learning experience and may include a dedicated session on GDPR compliance and responsible data use, depending on participants’ interests.
Participants are encouraged to verify that the use of AI tools is permitted under their national regulations and institutional policies before registering.

Participants who attend at least 80% of the course will receive a Certificate of Attendance on Friday or Saturday.

Schedule

Classes take place in the morning or afternoon, at the provider’s discretion. The schedule outlines may differ significantly depending on participants’ requests and on the trainer, who has discretion over any changes. If you want to discuss a specific topic, you should indicate it at least 4 weeks in advance as the definitive schedule will be sent 2 weeks before the course.

The majority of cultural activities are planned for Saturday. However, if these activities include tickets to museums, city cards, or visits organized with an external tour operator, you may choose to use these earlier in the week.
