Description
The Erasmus+ Program offers a variety of opportunities to teachers and school staff. However, it can be perceived as difficult at the beginning, especially when facing all the new terms and concepts in English.
This course will offer participants the opportunity to take the first steps in the Erasmus+ program and understand the shared values of the European Union.
Additionally, it will delve into other important topics related to the Erasmus+ program, such as its founding principles, priorities, and more.
By acquiring an in-depth understanding, participants will develop the necessary skills to plan and write successful Erasmus+ projects, thus expanding opportunities for schools and institutions to engage in the program, while also fostering connections and enabling future collaborations with other educational partners.
During the course, participants will also have the chance to improve their English vocabulary through exercises and warm-up activities and enhance their communication skills in an international environment.
By the end of the course, participants will have improved their knowledge of the Erasmus+ program, gained valuable insights into writing successful projects, and increased their institution’s opportunities to participate in Erasmus mobilities.

- Learn the basic vocabulary of European projects and feel more confident when speaking English;
- Discover the different Erasmus Plus projects and find the best for their schools;
- Connect with other colleagues and schools and plan future collaboration and exchange activities.
Tentative schedule
Day 1 – The Erasmus Program
- Introduction to the course, the school, and the external week activities;
- Warm-up activities;
- Presentations of the participants’ schools;
- The Erasmus Program: a brief history;
- Opportunities for Schools.
Day 2 – European values and vocabulary
- Understanding European Values;
- Learning English Vocabulary of European Projects;
- Cooperative Learning Strategies.
Day 3 – Brainstorming about the past, present, and future of the European Union
Day 4 – Erasmus + projects
- Getting to know the different opportunities offered by Erasmus Projects;
- Platforms to connect;
- Basic rules and tips on how to write a successful Erasmus Project.
Day 5 – Planning future collaboration
- Connecting with other colleagues and schools;
- Planning future projects and exchange activities;
- What you take with you from the training experience.
Day 6 – Course closure and cultural activities
- Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussion;
- Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance;
- Excursion and other external cultural activities.
