At the B1 CEFR level, learners comprehend the main points of clear texts on familiar subjects and handle most situations while traveling. They can produce simple connected texts, expressing experiences, opinions, and plans in a concise manner.
This course will explore the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach, which provides flexible teaching methods to adjust diverse learners, and differentiated instruction techniques that adapt lessons to meet individual needs.Inspire every student to learn, grow, and succeed – no matter their challenges!
The training is designed for teachers who want to create an inclusive and supportive language-learning environment where all students, including those with special needs, can thrive.
Through practical strategies and hands-on insights, participants will gain tools to help learners develop confidence and communication skills.
Furthermore, participants will discover new ways to design activities that promote both language development and emotional well-being, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped to build a language-rich environment where students of all abilities feel valued and empowered to succeed.
They will be guided through identifying and addressing common barriers to language learning while encouraging collaboration and participation from all students.
Additionally, participants will explore AI tools that enhance language teaching, personalize learning experiences, and support diverse student needs.

Day 1 – Introduction to the course

Day 2 – Practical UDL strategies for language learning
- Understanding learner variability in language classrooms;
- Adapting resources and teaching materials for diverse learners;
- Exploring engaging and accessible language activities;
- Collaborative planning: Designing inclusive tasks.
Day 3 – Tools and strategies for differentiated language instruction
- Exploration of assistive technologies;
- Developing tasks for mixed-ability classrooms;
- AI Tools;
- Workshop: Creating differentiated lesson plans using UDL principles.
Day 4 – Holistic learning and emotional support
- Strategies for fostering student engagement and well-being;
- Discovery-based and holistic learning approaches;
- Collaborative session: Designing language activities with a social-emotional focus.
Day 5 – Flipped classroom approaches for language learning
- Understanding the flipped classroom model;
- Designing flipped lessons to promote student autonomy;
- Sharing best practices and creative lesson ideas.
Day 6 – Course closure and cultural activities
- Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussion;
- Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance;
- Excursion and other external cultural activities.
