School Competition
During the festival, teachers and schools from across Europe will have the opportunity to present their projects. The aim is to demonstrate how schools and teachers integrate themes relating to tangible and intangible heritage into their practice.
Projects focusing on both tangible and intangible heritage will be eligible for the competition; furthermore, both projects centred on acquiring heritage knowledge and those in which heritage serves as a tool for acquiring knowledge in other subjects will be accepted.
Each school may submit a video (max. 5 minutes)
On Thursday afternoon during the festival, we will screen these videos as part of a dedicated session. This will be followed by the award ceremony, where the best projects will be recognised with the following prizes:
- 1st Prize: 1000 Euros
- 2nd Prize: 500 Euros
- 3rd Prize: 250 Euros

Subject: Cultural Heritage in School Competition
The projects will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Creativity in approaching cultural heritage
- Clarity of the project
- Ability to foster an intercultural, inclusive, or intergenerational perspective
- Ability to engage students
- Quality of the video
- Transferability to other schools
By submitting the video, schools consent that Europass Foundation and Europass SRL will publish the video in part or in full on social media and on their websites.

During the festival week, 15-20 March 2027, various professional development courses on Cultural Heritage in education will run in parallel, with shared sessions of collaboration.
The courses will explore various approaches to cultural heritage, highlighting its interdisciplinary nature and its role as a vehicle for knowledge. They are designed to be practical, with the aim of providing teaching activities that can be applied in the classroom.
