Description
Art offers a powerful way back to our authentic selves.
With children increasingly surrounded by external distractions, their exposure to art as a gateway to self-discovery and emotional understanding is more important than ever.
Yet, art has the unique ability to make us feel, reflect, and express what words often fail to convey.
This course invites teachers to reclaim the deeply human qualities of creativity, vulnerability, and self-awareness, nurturing these not only for themselves but also for the students they guide.
Engaging in creative processes makes us feel vulnerable, which is part of being human; when we create, we learn to embrace and share our imperfections, our strengths, and our stories.
This course integrates art, mindfulness, and self-reflection to help teachers create a classroom environment that celebrates differences as valuable contributions.
By making space for vulnerability and connection, participants will explore how art can reflect who we are, guiding both educators and students toward growth, empathy, resilience, and emotional well-being.
By the end of the course, participants will be equipped with practical strategies and creative tools to transform their classrooms into spaces of trust, empathy, and emotional growth.
They will confidently use art to promote self-expression and emotional awareness, enabling students to navigate their feelings with greater understanding and communication skills.
