At the A2 CEFR level, learners can understand sentences and commonly used expressions related to everyday topics. They communicate in simple and routine tasks, exchanging information on familiar subjects, and describe personal background and immediate surroundings.
This French Language and Culture course offers you a unique chance to immerse yourself in the real French language and culture, beyond what you learn in a classroom setting.
Not only will this course bring new perspectives to your teaching approach, but it will also provide hands-on experience as you step into a student’s role and observe new teaching methods.
Throughout the course, you will participate in language classes and seminars about French culture. The language classes include morning sessions that are tailored to your current language level and needs.
In the afternoon, you will take part in cultural activities, guided tours, and excursions to learn more about French culture.
By the end of this course, you will have gained a deeper understanding of the French language and culture through hands-on experiences and guidance from local professional tutors.
Your teaching toolkit will also be expanded as you reflect on your teaching approach, compare different teaching methods, and choose the one that works best for you.
Please note: we offer two more sessions in the afternoon on Tuesday and Thursday and also one workshop on Wednesday.

Tentative schedule
Day 1 – Introduction to the course
Welcome, group introductions, icebreakers;
Talking about your life, work, and language background;
Setting language goals for the week.
Day 2 – Daily life and routines
Grammar: present tense (regular and key irregular verbs), reflexive verbs;
Vocabulary: everyday actions, times of day, frequency;
Speaking: describing your daily schedule and habits;
Listening: short texts about routines;
Writing: describing a typical day.
Day 3 – Talking about the past
Grammar: passé composé with avoir and être;
Vocabulary: time markers, verbs for past actions;
Speaking: talking about past trips or weekends;
Focus on verb forms and correct agreement.
Day 4 – Future plans and real situations
Grammar: futur proche, prepositions of place and time;
Vocabulary: travel, plans, appointments, weather;
Listening: audio about plans or invitations.
Day 5 – Reinforce grammar concepts and conversation for elementary learners
Grammar: review and integration of key forms;
Vocabulary: polite forms, everyday expressions;
Group task: plan and present a short scenario;
Wrap-up: personal progress and tips to continue learning.
Day 6 – Course closure and cultural activities
Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussion;
Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance;
Excursion and other external cultural activities.
