- BA History (University of Stirling), MSc History (University of Edinburgh), MSc TESOL (University of St Andrews), PGCert Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (University of Stirling);
- Senior Fellow of Advance HE, and CELTA trained;
- Language spoken: fluent in English; learner of French and Scottish Gaelic;
- Teaching experience across a wide range of formal and informal settings, subjects, and ages, including young learners, adults, outreach, primary, and university;
- Part of the team who wrote the Linguistics Benchmark Statement (2023) for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA);
- Particularly interested in EDI, linguistics (primarily neurolinguistics and psycholinguistics), SEN, active learning methodologies, intercultural communication, and leveraging AI for learning;
