Applying for Erasmus+ funding can feel complex at first, especially if your school or organisation is approaching the programme for the first time. Erasmus+ National Agencies are there to guide applicants, manage funding opportunities at national level and support organisations throughout the Erasmus+ project cycle.

What Are Erasmus+ National Agencies?
Erasmus+ National Agencies are the official bodies responsible for managing many parts of the Erasmus+ programme in each participating country.
Their main responsibilities include:
📋 providing information and guidance on Erasmus+ opportunities
💶 selecting projects and awarding grants
🔍 monitoring and evaluating approved projects
🤝 supporting applicants, beneficiaries and participants
📣 promoting Erasmus+ and sharing good practices
For schools and educational organisations, the National Agency is usually the main reference point for understanding how to apply for Erasmus+ funding, which rules to follow and how to manage a project after approval.
What National Agencies Do Not Do
Erasmus+ National Agencies do not approve individual courses, certify training providers or choose which mobility activity your school should attend.
It is up to each school or organisation to select a course or training provider that fits its Erasmus+ project, learning objectives and Erasmus Quality Standards.
For questions about your application, grant, budget or project rules, always contact the National Agency in your own country — not the one in the country where the course or mobility activity takes place.

Switzerland and the United Kingdom are expected to become associated to the Erasmus+ Programme in 2027. Once associated, they will fully take part in Erasmus+ activities, together with EU Member States and other third countries associated to the Programme.
