Description
Schools and educational institutions are often required to present their projects, initiatives, and results to different stakeholders (colleagues, parents, local authorities, or even European partners).
For this purpose, presentations can be powerful tools for effective communication, but too often they remain flat, text-heavy, and lack engagement.
This course is designed for school representatives and project coordinators who want to create professional and impactful presentations to effectively promote schools’ initiatives and achievements.
Participants will be introduced to innovative digital tools that go beyond traditional PowerPoint (such as Canva, Visme, Gamma, Emaze) to develop quality content and visually appealing presentations, capable of delivering clear and purposeful information.
During this course, participants will explore strategies to structure their message with coherence and to maintain focus on content through the entire presentation (such as storyboarding), and they will learn how to use visuals and interactive elements to enhance engagement.
Special attention will be given to the importance of adapting and designing presentations for different audiences (including challenges such as ADHD and epilepsy).
Also, sessions will explore the opportunities and challenges of using AI-powered tools to generate more impactful presentations.
By the end of the course, participants will possess all the knowledge, templates, and tools to create professional, engaging, and visually appealing presentations, being able to balance quality content and visuals to promote their schools’ projects and activities to different stakeholders.

The course will help participants to:
- Design presentations with clear structure and message, targeted to the needs of different audiences;
- Apply storyboarding techniques to organize materials and to keep the focus on quality content;
- Create effective slides by combining text, visuals (photos, videos), and interactive elements following basic design principles;
- Use digital tools and platforms (such as Canva, Gamma, Emaze, Visme, etc.) to create professional and engaging presentations;
- Experiment with AI-based tools to support content creation and design in developing presentations;
- Adapt presentation formats and strategies to make them inclusive and accessible for different stakeholders.

Day 1 – Course introduction
- Introduction to the course and the Academy;
- Introduction to the host city and the week’s cultural activities;
- Icebreaker activities;
- Presentations of the participants’ schools and institutions;
- Understanding the power of impactful presentations;
- Balancing quality content with visual elements;
- Group reflection: examples of effective (and ineffective) presentations.
Day 2 – Structuring presentations – context and textual elements
- Storyboarding as a tool for organizing and developing content;
- Principles for writing clear text and choosing fonts;
- Workshop: designing the structure and textual elements of a presentation.
Day 3 – Visual design elements – colors, shapes, photos, videos
- Using colors, images, and videos effectively in presentations;
- Color theory and psychology: the importance of visual choices;
- Workshop: adding visual elements to improve impact and accessibility,
- Group reflection: how design influences attention and understanding.
Day 4 – Interactivity and accessibility
- Principles of adding interactive elements (quizzes, embedded media, etc.);
- Balancing interactivity for different target audiences;
- Workshop: creating inclusive and interactive presentations;
- Group reflection: accessibility considerations (attention span, special needs, etc.).
Day 5 – AI-powered presentations
- Exploring AI features (opportunities and limits) in developing presentations;
- How to check the AI: verifying content, checking accuracy, maintaining authorship;
- Workshop: experiment with AI tools to develop AI presentations;
- Course evaluation: round-up of acquired competencies, feedback, and discussions;
- Awarding of the course Certificate of Attendance.
Day 6 – Structured cultural activities
- Structured cultural activity(ies) according to the hosting location;
- Learning journal: individual written reflection on the course experience;
- Course reflection: self-reflection and review of course materials and resources.
This course uses AI tools as part of the learning experience and may include a dedicated session on GDPR compliance and responsible data use, depending on participants’ interests.
Participants are encouraged to verify that the use of AI tools is permitted under their national regulations and institutional policies before registering.
