Description
Targeted to B1 speakers or above. Read more »
At the B1 CEFR level, learners comprehend the main points of clear texts on familiar subjects and handle most situations while traveling. They can produce simple connected texts, expressing experiences, opinions, and plans in a concise manner.
The ability to communicate effectively in English is a critical skill in today’s connected, multicultural world.
Particularly for educators, fluency in English facilitates the engagement with students in multilingual and multicultural classrooms, and on a personal level allows the educator to engage in global professional networks, access international training and effectively participate in collaborative international projects.
This course is designed to focus on effective communication in the English language, both inside and outside the classroom, with a strong focus on vocabulary and language useful to educators.
Targeted at educators at an intermediate level of English, the course seeks to equip educators with the confidence and language fluency to feel more comfortable in their use of English, particularly inside a classroom or when dealing with situations that may arise in their professional work.
Rather than focusing on grammar or traditional approaches to English language teaching, this course seeks to offer a much more focused professional development experience for all educators, with the clear goal of boosting communication clarity and effectiveness across reading, writing and speaking skills.
This course will prepare you to feel more confident in using English to communicate effectively with students, colleagues or international partners.
Please note: This course is designed for Intermediate level learners (B1/B2); other levels should attend an appropriate version of this course.
