Description
Targeted to A1 speakers. Read more »
At the A1 CEFR level, learners focus on acquiring basic language skills. They can understand and use simple expressions to meet immediate needs, introduce themselves, ask basic questions, and engage in simple interactions.
The ability to communicate effectively in English is a critical skill in today’s connected, multicultural world.
Particularly for educators, fluency in English facilitates the engagement with students in multilingual and multicultural classrooms, and on a personal level allows the educator to engage in global professional networks, access international training, and effectively participate in collaborative international projects.
This course is designed to help you make the first steps in effective communication in the English language, both inside and outside the classroom, with a strong focus on vocabulary and language useful to educators.
Targeted at educators at a beginner’s level of English, the course seeks to equip educators with the confidence and language to start feeling comfortable in their use of English, particularly inside a classroom or when dealing with situations that may arise in their professional work.
Rather than focusing on grammar or traditional approaches to English language teaching, this course seeks to offer a much more focused professional development experience for all educators, with the clear goal of improving communication clarity and confidence across reading, writing, and speaking skills.
This course will help you start using English to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, or international partners.
Please note: This course is designed for beginner-level learners (A1); other levels should attend an appropriate version of this course.
