Also called “The Heart of Transylvania”, Cluj-Napoca is the fastest developing city in Romania and with its great multicultural environment it’s also one of the most effervescent European cities. The city is home to several well-rated universities, has a vibrant nightlife and landmarks dating to Saxon and Hungarian rules. During 2015 it was the “European Youth Capital”, but in the same year the city also won the ‘European Festivals Awards’ with its famous Untold festival which attracts around 350.000 people during every summer.
More and more tourists are attracted by the city, not only because of its festivals such as Untold, Electric Castle or TIFF, but also because of Transylvanian people who are well-known for their warmth and of course because of its touristic attractions such as the gothic-style St. Michael’s Church, the dramatic Matthias Corvinus Statue, the baroque-era Bánffy Palace, the relaxing Botanical Garden, the surprising Turda Salt Mine or by the Ethnographic Park.
The venue of the course is at 15 minutes walk from the old town in a welcoming and well-equipped language school.
Free time activities included:
one guided tour of the city.
one full-day excursion in Romania (depending on the choice of participants (and on the weather conditions) to Turda Salt Mine, Turda Gorge Natural Reservation or in Rimetea village.).

Not an EU teacher? This course is for you too!
Our courses are designed to fit the Erasmus+ program of the European Union, but they are available also for teachers from all non-EU countries, and even though the biggest component of our participants has always been the European one (more than 90%), during the last few years we have welcomed always more teachers from the USA, Japan and other extra-European countries!
