Description
As teachers, we are often so focused on our student’s development that we don’t have time to stop and reflect on our own needs and goals as educators.
We know that reflection and growth are important for learners, but how often do we practice what we preach and apply it to our own work?
This course will provide a fun, relaxed environment in which teachers can rediscover the joy of teaching and embrace their unique teacher identity through reflection, positive psychology, and embodied coaching.
Participants will identify their personal needs, strengths, and goals as teachers, explore their communication and teaching styles and create goals and strategies for change and growth where it is needed.
This course will be both practical and personal, with sessions tailored to the needs of the group. During the course, participants will be introduced to a variety of reflective strategies through which they will focus on their personal and professional needs, challenges, and goals.
Participants will work with positive psychology tools to identify their core strengths and develop practical strategies to utilize them for personal and professional growth. They will also explore their identity through embodied coaching to develop deeper self-awareness, consider potential areas for growth and change, and reignite their passion for teaching.
By the end of the course, participants will have developed a deeper sense of self-awareness, reflected meaningfully on the impact their personality and experience have upon their teaching style and relationship with students, and created practical strategies to utilize their strengths for personal and professional growth.
They will also have time to connect with other teachers to refresh their energy and enthusiasm for teaching.
